Pretty good. Worth watching in the theatre. Critics were mostly right on this...
I also will add when I visualize Sherlock Holmes I picture an uptight, proper sort of man...This is NOT how Downey plays the role...watching Downey Jr. as Holmes makes the movie in that regard.

Great movie! One of the best I've seen in a long time. Very different from most current movies.

Great film.....I love the fresh take on Homes and Watson.....I was tired of staunchy old man style with large pipe and double brimmed hat. This film actually took a good look at who the man really was from the books. It was written very well and acted superbly.

it had Guy Ritchie's style and pacing. The warf explosion scene was FANTASTIC!!! and one of the best scenes I think that has ever been put on film.

It will be a must own on BR......

I was disappointed. 7/10

I felt it was mis-cast (really disliked both female leads), the CG was both unnecessary and poorly done (shipyard scene specifically), it didn't really hold my interest, and overall the dialogue should have been sharper. I mean you have one of the greatest minds ever conceived and his snappy retort to Watson's "And wear a Jacket" is, "YOU wear a jacket."

Least favorite Guy Ritchie movie...too bad.

I really liked this film, well cast with Bobby Downey Jr and Jude Law and a host of British character actors, well written...it contains all the clues to figure out the mystery and you have no idea what is happening till it is explained. Fast paced, good special effects. Set in turn of the century London. I give it a 8 outta 10, good time film.

Downey's Holmes is ADD with a edge, he is a fighter and seems to only nap, not sleep...brilliant thinker and notices everything. Law's Watson is a great side kick, not a bad pistol shot, and has a love interest. The heavy is dark and brooding and has a plan. Dr. Moriarity puts in a cameo. London, the setting, is part of the cast as it dominates the scenes with little timely events and places that have changed since then.
