Overall, I enjoyed the movie. Good pacing, suspenseful; but I agree that the ending should've been much better.

I was hesitant to go see it due to all the complaints I've heard about the ending. However, I thought the ending was pretty cool, if a little predictable. I don't think I've ever been so tense watching a movie as I was watching this one. And it was unique (the biggest attribute I look for these days)...I've never seen a film with this particular take on the UFO/alien presence and motivation before. I give it .

I thought the movie was great. It kept my attention threw out the whole file, which is rare now a days. I will have to admit the ending was a little weak... but then again how would end it?...

Over all for sure going on my DVD list and also a possible return movie date.

altho the trailer didnt do it for me, in the end--the movie was pretty good. i liked the ending and how everything made sense/matched up, altho a bit predictable.. great suspenseful thriller, altho i still prefer the sixth sense

Did any of you actually figure out there WAS a surprise ending? It hit me after I left the theater that the "primitive form of defense" used to make the aliens leave had to be humans SPITTING on them! Am I the only one to realize this? It was talked about earlier in the film when the cop lady said that woman was spitting on everything in that store.

If you haven't seen the film and want to, don't read my comments as they give some of the plot away........

The film made me jump in a couple of places, but that was as good as it got. The plot made little sense. An advanced alien race, able to navigate through the depths of space with what must be vastly superior technology, on an aggressive mission to take over our planet don't have any weapons (apart from smelly wrists!), can't navigate without flattening a corn field and forget to pack their rain coats!!!!...utter crap!

pretty lame imho. dumb plot, worse ending. there was some great humor, and i agree with the post that says night is superb with child actors. i think it's been all downhill since 6th sense, however that was one of my all time favorites and a tuff act to follow.

The points you made about the aliens is exactly what I thought. Up to that point I was enjoying the movie quite a bit, and then *fizzle*
