There Will Be Blood
I saw this last Friday. I thought it was good, not great. I'm a Daniel Day Lewis fan and thought he rightfully deserved the Oscar.
Maybe I didn't read into the deeper symbolism enough or interpret the inner human struggle dealing with the differentiation of family, social, and business life all intertwining....
The music at the beginning drove my wife up a wall, I barely noticed...while it did draw out the scenes nicely and emphasize the dramatic moments, I wouldn't buy the soundtrack.
On a serious note, good acting, some kind of long scenes, and some weird interactions between Daniel Plainview and Eli Sunday...

Finally saw it. It was OK. Lewis was extremly good and worthy of an oscar nod, but there really is not much story.
The kid from Little Miss Sunshine who plays the preacher was not very convincing.
It was shot well, bleak tone, and a great lead performance, but I am not a fan of movies that drag on for more than two hours and the story can be summed up in a sentence or two.
