Last night, after seeing Quantum of Solace, I noticed what seemed to be a never ending line of "nerdy, overweight, "goth girls".

The type that wear all black with cat ears or something similar, read Harry Potter and apparently Twilight, and probably know every single Anime ever created.

It was actually quite scary and totally turned me off to the idea of seeing this movie.

Basically, it was a popular novel and the movie version features a teen hearthrob as a vampire. Goth chicks go bonkers for this.

Personally, I would rather go watch "Let the Right One In". It's a Swedish movie about a creepy child vampire who falls in love with her weakling schoolboy of a neighbor. Supposedly the best vampire flick, EVAR. I don't really watch foreign films, but I want to see this so bad.

DIDN'T MEAN TO THREAD JACK. I just can't stand movies that try to front.

Thumbs down

1st review:
The Movie actually stays very true to the book. The book is about 17year old Isabella Swan who leave her mom and new step father in arizona to come live with her father (police chief Charlie Swan) in Forks washington-the rainiest place in the US. She soon becomces obsessed with a boy at school (edward Cullen) who turns out to be a Vampire. Edwards Vampire family is a rare group of peaceful vampires who've found they would rather feed on the blood of animals than be monsters and hunt humans..
While it should be no surprise considering the author ok'd any difference from the book some of the previews made "Twilighters" weary. The movie was 2hours and 2minutes . I think that people who didnt read the books would enjoy this film very much if they watched with an open mind, with the intent to watch a good film and have a nice time. The film actually has a surprising # of s soem of which were in the book and some were just thrown in from hollywood but all were funny none the less. The Film had obviously been changed to appeal to the Highschool mentality... The were far more boobies than the book wouldve led you to beleive... The main Chalacter "Bella" was written as a very normal and "self concious" 17 year old who is fairly shy and embarased by her teenage body, but in the movie her first bedroom seen with the leading male "Edward" has her in her in pantys and a Tshrit practically tackeling him after a 2 minute kiss, in the book she wore full pajama pants and a longsleeve shirt and the had a small pec on the lips thats it. Ok now for the Cast which was very hit and miss Ill explain. The Main character Bella was just alright she looked the part to a T but some of the acting just wasnt on parr IMO . Edward also looked exactly as I wouldve pictured him from the books and he acted the role very well . All the Vampires were casted perfectely and played their roles extreemely well Bellas Father was perfect while her mother didnt look anything like I imagined but at least her role was very minor... Jacob black had a bigger role then he shouldve no apparent reason He looked the part but his acting was pretty poor... As for the rest of the Humans They all sucked it was like one of those joke movies where people werent even trying to act or something I was really dissapointed by this. Luckely most of the outlying humans had very small roles

In conclusion the movie had its flaws but still managed to live up to my expectations. I will certainly buy this on DVD and look forward to the sequel "New Moon" to hit theaters

Any one else seen it yet please tell us what you thought or let your wife/girlfreind come on and explain how they felt it did

Weird. My opinion is exactly the opposite. I haven't seen the movie, but I've read the books and I've seen the trailers for the movie. Bella is the only one that I thought looked even remotely like what I expected from the books. What's with the big pompadour hairdo that Edward has? I expected something more classic looking. Not something that makes him look like the MTV cartoon character Beavis.
