Saw it on Saturday. The film is about what I expected, in other words I wasn't expecting a ground breaking unforgettable film, blah, blah!
But it was worth the price of admission to see her beautiful ass in that tight leather for 2 hours. I'll pay to see the 3rd and last installment as well just to see her.

Honestly, I sort of did expected a bit more than what I saw. I think "these" movies can and should have really cool plots and special effects at the same time, like the original Matrix for instance.

OG Matrix is phenomenal and the depth of plot goes way deep into the rabbit hole.
Ok, here is an example of how lame the plot was. When Marcus, the vampire prince
, finally frees his wolf bro, the camera cuts to some lame ass lil scene that nobody gives a chit about...how about a lil conversation between the two brothers, huh? What happened? Did they broke down and cry and shook their hands and paws to "make up" for all the useless bloodsheds between vampires and warewolves? Oh, wait, one of them can speak perfect English with a Brit accent and the other...well, he's a freakin wolf!! No wonder they HAD to cut to that lame ass scene that I can't even remember now
! Believe me, this is just one of many places the movie really falls short.
It's funny, both the reviews I have read focused completely on Kate Beckinsale. Both mentioned that she is married to the director and implied that is the only reason she would have bothered making the film. (One even pointed out that Wiseman "has not been able to find non-'Underworld' work".)
Both reviews said that the sex scene was "almost worth the price of admission" but strongly implied that absolutely nothing else in the movie was worth seeing at all.
