Just got through the 3rd episode of season 2, aside from every where they go having very well kept grass, I'm really enjoying this show

I think a smart thing woulda been to take the riot gear off the zombies clean it out and wear it for added protection

What is that big secret?

I may be wrong, but I think he told Rick that everyone is infected with whatever it is that causes people to become walkers.

That's why Shane came back as a walker after Rick killed him, even though he hadn't been bitten by a walker.

The comic/graphic novel is much better. More gritty and raw. The show can be very predictable. I wonder how they are making this season out to be. I think the governor should be interesting to watch but they will probably tone him down a lot. Especially what he does to Michonne

I just had Compendium 2 delivered to my door but have not read it yet. I never read comics as a kid but bought the first compendium which was issues 1-50 or so and it was interesting.

I don't like the fact it is all black and white, and the artwork is not the best in the comic world (at least the stuff I have seen). It has certainly got a lot more depravity than the show. So much so it is over the top, and I don't think the show will go there because I don't know that it would play to a mainstream audience. The inmate who kills the two children, Michone gettting raped in Woodbury, and the torture she subjects the Governor to are probably a little graphic and tough for a TV show with an audience of 10 million.

I am glad the show does not follow the comic exactlty, because then you can still enjoy both and have a few curveballs thrown at you like Dale's death or the little zombie girl coming out of the barn.

Yeah the art isn't the best but it seems they go more for story and writing. I just like how they really push it and make it more real with the oh-shit moments. I agree that it would be a little to harsh for mainstream TV viewers but the comic just gives you the punch in the gut realism of what it would be like if zombies did roam the earth and people like the governor existed in that situation.

I am all caught up by reading thanks to Comixology best app for comics and they had a sale on TWD. I downloaded the 3 Omnibus issues and am stuck waiting for more. Have you gotten as far as the Governor's attack on the prison?

I was really disappointed with the unrealistic gun firing scenes, they literally pretend to make the gun kick whenever they feel like it. Maybe it's just me but little things like that piss me off
