Young at Heart
Maybe you have heard of this one, maybe you have not. It is a documentary about the Young at Heart Chorus which is a singing group comprised of about 25 octgenarians that do punk and rock tunes. Yeah it sounds kind of boring and I am really not a fan of geezers so I went in with some reservations.
To cut to the chase, I loved it. It is really a touching story and if you are a giant squish like me, you will get misty a few times. My wife cried her eyes out a couple times.
If you are open to the premise, I think you will enjoy this movie. It starts very slow but after a half hour really pulls you in until the end.
I became interested when the guest dude sitting in with Roper called it his movie of the year so far and said he was in love with the movie. He was right. Its really a nice change of pace. Came out on DVD last week.
