WOW....!!! That's pretty cool Lee !!!!

...and for the Hero-2 cam, itself...Mine too, was a Christmas present from my "Best-Half"....and the camera works just great !!! I have no problems with the cam...it's the POS...back-pack remote, that is/was the problem...( but not anymore )
I am very happy for those that have had "NO" problems with theirs.... ...but I haven't heard of anyone, getting it to work the first time !!!!...and now, by God...there is even a video...that you need to "TRY" to make the, once again "POS" work !!!
....sorta makes you your head...that GoPro...would conviently come out with a completely new cam...with the "Remote" built right into it.....so shortly after releasing that "POS"...for the Hero-2

...Wonder how much $$$$$$$$$ they made...during the short time between releases, of the "New Cam"...& the "POS" remote back-pack....add on !!!

I'm going to put my wifi backpack up for sale. The camera is great but the wifi portion sucks.

The replacement wifi back pack did not work. I contacted Gopro. They e mailed me a Fedex shipping label. I am sending it out Monday. Gopro said they will ship a new one as soon as I tell them the bad unit is shipped.

Maybe.....just maybe, this one will be the magic one that works.

If the new one fails, I have plenty of room in my garage rather than travelling that far

Sorry to hear that you are confused but rest assured that if the units were in working order, pairing them would have been a fairly simple procedure.

If they had not been defective, I am certain that Gopro would not have gone to the trouble and expense to replace them for me.

When I have a little time to spare(Christmas season you know) I'll get it all resolved.

Thanks for your offer to help.

See you at the dragon.
