Default Alcohol by Fontana

What's available for purchase and external consumption in the area. Do the gas stations / convenience stores sell beer. What about liquor?

Can I drink at the Fontana bar as a last resort?

I'll need a nightcap and then some each night, where can I get my supply?

TIA

-Mike

Most of the guys clean out...um, I mean, visit the ABC store in Tennessee over in Alcoa, TN. I'm not sure about Fontana's supply. Good thread to check this out.

Fine with me, just want to know before I go.

I hate the ABC stores in the Carolina's even more than I hate the ban on selling beer at gas stations in Mass. No offense

I'll let others recommend good places to buy. I try to bring all of my supplies from home.

I would like to do a minor hijack of your thread and ask everyone to respect the events on the schedule that explicitly ask that you not BYOB. These events have a minimum purchase amount we have to make from the bar or the club will windup paying it anyway. Which puts your friendly organizers in a difficult position. Other than those specific events (listed in your itinerary that you will receive when you get to Fontana) bring it or buy it and drink it.

We now return you to your previously scheduled thread.

I have no problems spamming the bar during the banquet. I need some hard stuff to put my head into the pillow at night, that is all

Depending on the direction you are going, the Walmart in Alcoa does as well. I usually stock up there after the Hooters GTG on Thursday night

The gas station at Fontana has beer only.
The general store inside the Fontana village has beer and some wine.

If you are coming 129 South out of Alcoa through Maryville, there is a liquor store on the far side of Maryville. You will see a Sonic Burger on your left (easy to see the big yellow sign) and there is a strip shopping center after that on the left as you go South. There is a Food Lion there that should sell beer but there is also a liquor store in that strip mall.
