Default Buick sets record breaking times for night run

The Buick was dialed in and tuned just right by the one and only SR71BB, including special air pressure settings to maximize cornering and handling. The dragon was drying off after the Wake the Dragon dinner/celebration, so that just made it extra cool. Only two S2000's were able to pass this beast on this unbelieveable night run. So after a spirited run down 28 from Fontana, dodging several tree limbs in the road, I embarked on this journey with an unbelieveable 25 minute run to the gravel lot. I think I scared the big wheel racers at Deal's Gap when the turbo Buick kicked it in gear to head up the hill and out.

A night truely not to be forgotten.

Was a great time for those who missed WTD '07!!!

Only two got past? Driving a handicap like that - it's obvious you're back in the saddle.

I almost pulled over at the overlook just to say hello, but needed to get home. The two were having a good time on the dragon, it was partially dry so I know that helped get some good night runs in.

Hehe... I kept thinking the Buick was a cop when I seen it setting in the turns. I quickly realized it was the turbo Buick! That tree down in the road was huge. Took a little bit to clean what we could up. Then we got stopped again at the deals gap store. I thought there was another accident or tree down... then I saw grown men on big wheels just getting it down the hillside. It was nuts.

I was a plus one on a night run in the Buick. We caught and passed an S like it was nothing... Don't underestimate the marshmellow shocks, it created a "bouncy seat" effect that distributed the wieght to the tires for maximum slippage.

BTW: Only about 10 S2Ks passed us.
