Thumbs up Dragon run anyone?

Since I've managed to miss BOTH Dragon runs this year I've decided to make up for my consistent tardies which will include this 'FINALL EXAM'.

I'm gonna try to head up either the evening of the 12th or one week later on the 19th.

EDIT: GOING ON Thursday, October 19th @ 5pm.

That means leaving after work on Thursday evening and heading up to Columbia, SC and staying there. I have a good friend with and S2k who lives there with a nice house. He's a great guy and I'm pretty sure he'd take several of us there. From there to the Dragon the next morning, spend Friday night somewhere and run back through the dragon the next day back to Columbia. Spend Saturday night there and head home on Sunday. This could be pushed out an extra day to return on Monday if that makes people more interested.

I think I'd like to mimic the last 'Dragonball' run that Willie Gee put together. (WG: i would love to see that itinerary if it differs or you have more detail than what was posted here).

Anyone else interested?

i'll keep that in mind ... i'm always looking for other area. I'm hoping to find some more central florida roads that haven't been sacrificed for retirement communities.

After almost 15 years i'm no longer able to enjoy my favorite road in Ocala anymore. They just completely changed the area for a new 'by-pass'. The road was a mini-corkscrew like the one at Laguna Seca. I never got a picture of it ... but maybe i can find it on Google and show you guys. The elevation change isn't as dramatic ... but it was a tighter set of turns. I need to have a funeral for it during one of the meets so i can tell you all the stories of joy it brought into my life of driving ...

is that sad or WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!

ok ... only 2 more days until I head out for the road that will test my ... uh, courage. Right ... anyway. lol

It appears that I may have another S2000 to run with up and back! For the few of you that remember (i know zdave does lol) my friend Devin is going. Her sister lives just to the east of the Dragon in Bryson city and she was planning a trip too! Awesome timing!

This will make taking pictures of my car on the Dragon a WHOLE lot easier. I was tryin to figure out if i could preset the camera and jump in the car in time for it to snap ... not a fun idea from what i can tell.

My friend in Columbia, SC. just sold his S2 so he's not that interested in going now.

If anyone is interested in coming up let me know. Would love more company. Otherwise i'll just drive the locals crazy by myself!!
