I was trying to find out where Derf's waterfall drive would go to... looks like Whitewater Falls is 120-140+ miles from Fontana. That would make for a fairly long drive to do that...

I know Kathy wouldn't mind finding a antique store or two to browse somewhere.... I would think we could find one on any drive that we took....

Do we want to have dinner in some other town, or take the chance of getting a reservation at Fontana's restuarant?

 

We are up for whatever. I don't know the area well enough to make suggestions about other places to eat dinner. If you want I can start poking around to see what is out there? Unless of course you already have something in mind...

 

Anybody into rock climbing? I was thinking of searching around for some boulders/ crags in the area. I know a lot of places to go within 3 hours, but I was planning on doing a little exploration.

LMK if anyone is down for a short hike one day too!

Or we could do the over the Smoky's drive to Cades Cove... fjord the streams again... try not to have the engine cut out after doing that (Wingman)...
