I'm sure it's cause you're already missing Denny. Maybe this will help:

Ron and I just got back from a Dragon weekend; went up for the "ShineFest" music festival with some friends. Beautiful weather, small crowds on the roads, no tickets. . Well, there WAS that whole "sobriety checkpoint" thing at the (paved) gravel lot at 10:00 in the morning. very strange. Had some great lunch and ice cream stops as well. Basically got 'er warmed up for you!

Can't wait to go back in just a few weeks!

Yeah, it was really strange. They had full-on barricades, 8-9 patrol cars and at least a dozen officers present. The thing was, they did not ask either of us for our driver's license, which I thought was the "norm" for a sobriety checkpoint. Ron thinks they were looking for someone or something else.

When we came back through around 4:00PM (closer to cocktail hour!), the checkpoint was gone. No LEOs in sight.
