You can wait till the registration opens...We just registered when we were checking out from the DragonBall...It's easier when we are just standing there at the desk !!! Especially when you know you are coming back !!! 
We have been to every Dragon event since the Fall of 2003...and @ Fontana since we started going there !!! So we just tell them..."Same room for the next event"....

I don't care if it's on Easter (or Christmas, or Saint Swithin's day or Channuka or May day). I have our room reserved and my bag is sitting by the door. (or to quote Scooterboy...is it time to go yet?).
