where is everyone staying? my wife wants to stay at pigeon forge.. thats like a 30-45min drive the dragon...
If you want to be around other S2000 people.... stay at Fontana Lodge....
Each night there are things to do.... in the past...
Friday night.... burgers/dogs on the ball field... beer tasting... etc
Saturday night... banquet!!
After the planned events, you will find people hanging out at the lodge, having an adult beverage or 3!
Plus...staying at the lodge means no driving the Dragon at night to get back to your hotel... its probably almost 2 hours to get to Pigeon Forge from Fontana!
I would strongly recommend Fontana if you want to get the most out of the event!

Last year a few of us stayed in Robbinsville at the Microtel. Great quiet little town (albeit not this weekend however) with a few interesting restuarants, had a blast. However we had to cut the night short cause we had to remain sober for the drive back to the hotel! I wasnt too disappointed though, another night time run on the dragon
Robbinsville is definately an option if you dont mind basic lodging and amenities (wifi, nice free breakfast & southern hospitality). This year though, I am giving Fontana a try just on the basis of logistics. It is not that much more, and you get a cabin! Plus, we had a great lunch at one of the restuarants there last year.
