Does that include accessories that no one in their right mind would add to a car?

We went in to buy a Fit for my niece. We had to wait over two months for them to get a car in, and even though they had ordered it (not for us, but they put our name on it once they knew we were serious.) they STILL added $2100 worth of accessories to it when it came in. Paint protectant for $1600 was one of the items.

I bitched up a STORM, and they knocked it back to $600 in accessories, but I am STILL salty about that deal. Focktards pissed me off so much on a Fit, that I will NEVER buy from them again, and will not let anyone in my family buy from them again.
No way... Paint Protection is considered an 'aftermarket' product. We do not add it to any vehicle unless a customer specifically requested it. We discuss products such as Extended Warranties, Paint Protection, Fabric Protection, etc etc in our finance department - after all numbers are agreed upon.

If the customer wants it, we add it into the price of the vehicle and then they schedule an appointment with service to have it taken care of.

When it comes to Honda's - we order the vehicles directly from the factory with ZERO optional features and accessories. Anything that Honda offers we can install here at the dealership. We'd rather have our vehicle pricing low with the option of adding stuff as you prefer than to load it up and try to talk someone into buying a loaded vehicle with shit they don't want for more.

Hah - I actually hated dealerships prior to working with Checkered Flag. Not bragging because I work here, but the way that we do business here is much nicer than I've seen at other dealerships.

I had NEVER had such a poor experience as I had at this dealership.

They didn't add in the deposit on the paperwork, and it took three weeks of calling (and just SHOWING UP) to get them to FINALLY get off their asses and refund the deposit.

I had sales people tell me to call THEM to remind them to do their job the next day. "Hey, asshole, why don't you just do your f'ing job and then call ME!?"

No one "delivered" the car to my Niece. No one went over it with her, they were all too busy (or didn't know SHYTE about the car.)

After ALL of this, after ALL the crap, they wanted me to setup an S2000 BBQ day in their parking lot. I told them to sit and spin.

Holy crap - I hate dealerships that do that. Checkered Flag has a very strict 'No Market Adjustment' Policy - we can not charge a single penny over MSRP.
I laughed in the sales managers face when he told me they wanted $4000 over list for a CIVIC.

$1600 for the clear coat that's already on the car?

One of the chevy dealerships in town had a market adjustment on the Commerative Z06. They wanted $10,000 over MSRP. I ended up getting mine at a different dealership for about $8,000 UNDER MSRP.

Holy crap. Speaking with some of my customers I've heard of some similar situations, purchasing their previous car with one of our competitors, but nothing that bad.

Did you write a letter to the CEO or GM?

And free car washes, anytime she brings the car to them.

The dealership is about an hour from her mom's house, and about 6hrs from where she is going to college. How often do you think she is going to be in there to get her car washed?
