Actually, forgive me for having asked a knee-jerk reaction-question. given that the DBRs are always so much smaller...(and therefore less folks to assist, etc.)...PLEASE forget that I asked Okay? Let's just enjoy

Sounds great to me - Given that many will not arrive till Friday, it would likely come down to a cut of the deck between you and me -

Hey, it's not like I am insisting that special accommodations be made just for me. I am looking out for everyone else. You see, with me, it all about the other person. I was born a giver, not a taker.

Is it wrong to love so much?
Sure....... if thats your story,.... guess we have to believe it!

[QUOTE=airgate,Jul 27 2009, 12:13 AM] Jerry...don't let those forecasts worry you...it's tough to predict weather in the area because of the mountains.

^^^ How true!

On Thursday of my trip, I drove about an hour across the Foothills Parkway at 4 pm. I just turned left on Rte 129 and pulled over at the last lakeside parking lot to use the potty. The heavens opened up.....and I drove BACK over the Foothills Pkwy in a downpour.....not too much fun.

OTOH, my adventure on Saturday was quite fun, and the weather was perfect Drove eastbound Dragon trip #1 eastbound and dropped off my son to hike on the AT....trailhead on the west side of Fontana Dam. By 12:30 pm i was back at Deals Gap and started Dragon trip #2 westbound. With a short rest and cool-off after each Dragon , I finished up trip #9 about 5:30 pm....just in time to pick up Ben at the end of the Twenty Mile Trail....about 3 miles east on Rte 28

I'm sure others have done more trips in less time, but....my ass was beat but happy
Awesome Jerry...Wish you could have "Held-Off" on your trip, so you could have been there with us...@ the "DragonBall"......
