It was the elevation changes that get you in my opinion. The amount of random bumps, humps, and dips in the road is crazy. Everything is blind, because of all the humps in the road. It felt like every 50 feet I had to crest a hill or some sort, to see a turn directly after it.

The downhill side was pretty intense. Plus it's a 25-30 drive. On an o s*it scale factor from 1-10 I will give it a 10, dragon gets a 6 to put things in perspective. It was intense, a little more so since I watched my boy almost lose it on a little dinky light switchback.

I hope some of the group that notice that this road is only for the more experienced driver and not go it alone for any reason.

anybody recall who was behind me on the devil's triangle run with Bama's group? He was driving a Berlina with a hardtop I think...had several gopros running. Super nice guy. I'm the guy with the silver Civic Si sedan and S2LEGEND plates from NY METRO.

really want to see that footage....

I honestly never noticed the drop off while driving. Was so focused on the road. Definitely one of my favourites.

The scary thing were the random areas where there was gravel on the road / I guess I hit a weird bump and my tail kicked out while going straight. Thankfully It's happened to me so many times in less life threatening situations that I could control it and get the car back before anything else happened.

mmm, its ok to go it alone. just be confident in your car (read: tires) and ability. Going counterclockwise is by far the "safest" way as you're against the mountain without those dropoffs you get going clockwise. Plus there are some really fun uphill switchbacks on that great new pavement.

Not recommended in the rain on a set of I-Can-Get-One-More-Dragon-Trip-Out-Of-These tires.

I wonder if that was Adnan (not sure of his screen name), he was running lots of cameras and he has as supercharged Berlina ap2 from Tennessee. He was in front of me on the Skyway drive.
