DFR 2022 - Reached Home Safely Thread
Just wanted to check in and say thanks to John, Ken, Tim, and others for organizing yet another successful event. Although I rolled in to Fontana at 9:21am just in time for the rollout and reached home at 3:59pm just in time for family time with the kids, it was a blast seeing all the old faces and meeting a couple new ones.
PS: I almost ran out of gas after pulling into Costco next to home bc the lines were so huge. I hear max capacity is 13.2 gallons and I hit a personal record 12.7 gallons filled. Have a safe drive home everyone and see you at RtD23!

I took in some roads I haven't driven in a while, wandered around in southern VA on 58 for a while and still managed to make it home around 1900. Great seeing everyone and may the S2000 Dragon runs always be fun for everyone.
I too wanted to say thank you to everyone, especially Dave and Tim for conducting my 'newbie drive' and to John and Ken for organizing, and to everyone for a very welcoming first time. I had a blast and hope to be back in the Spring. - Pat Morrison '05 Suzuka Blue
Thanks everyone for a great event, left Fontana at 6am and drove up the driveway at 3:30pm, 1 gas stop, 2 bathroom stops and a quick trip thru the Skyline drive thru for lunch and 9 1/2 hours later I was home, never had to stop for construction traffic which is rare.
My Brother and I made it home around 3pm today. I know I wasn't able to meet everyone, but I want to take a moment and say thanks to everyone that attended this event. This event was special for me as I was able to show my older brother what it's all about and he really enjoyed getting to meet all of you as well. So, thanks for being the amazing people you are, and I hope to see you in the spring. (May 11-13th)

We had breakfast at the lodge and got on the road around 11am. Stopped in Asheville for lunch at Wicked Weed and walked around a bit. They had the symphony practicing in the park with special guest Andrea Ross (she was singing Somewhere over the rainbow and a couple other songs sounded exactly like Judy Garland, beautiful voice). Took back roads from Morganton and made it home around 5:30pm. We enjoyed meeting everyone and Joy now understands my love for the S2000. Hope to see you all again in the Spring!
We left Fontana around 10am EST and hit GA60 on the way back. I got back home at about 4:30pm CST using only 1 fuel stop in Murphy NC! I got 305 miles out of that tank, which is a first for me and my AP1! All 1,644 miles of brake dust and tire rubber are now washed off. Thanks everyone for coming and for a great weekend! This truly would not happen without all of you. See you in the Spring!
