Another place to back-off the gas is coming down that final hill before the store at Deal's Gap. Again, you're dealing with people pulling off to park, people pulling out onto the road, and people crossing the road to and from the store.

also, that area has fresh pavement now.
I don't know if anyone remembers but for a long time that NC side had horrible pavement.
