Default A Dragonball Suggestion

I for one plan to sepend my time on the NC side of the border. There are plenty of good twistys in our state.
No need for me to get up on the dragon and be concerned about getting harassed by Patrolman Fife and his buddies.
I would make a suggestion that we make plans for some group drives on the civilized side of the border but not make it public here.
If we are going to have such an outing, no need to make it known until we get to Nantahala. Tenn LOEs are not the only ones who read these forums.
The plague that has been rampant in the THP could be catching.

Just a thought.

+1. I plan to drive the dragon once just to say I have done it, in spite of how much law enforcement may try to spoil my fun. After that, I am wide open for any well maintained scenic twisties with light traffic.

Excellent suggestion, Lee! I volunteer you to be the first one to plan an alternate drive!

Anyone who would like to lead a group in a Saturday afternoon drive, please PM me. We'll gather the results and have signup sheets available during the registration/welcome reception.

If you want to lead a drive: Post here and then PM me with the following:
- Leader Name (real and screen name)
- Brief Description of the Drive
- Approximate time/length of the drive

The drive leader will need to print/bring hard copies of the drive directions and/or maps to hand out to each person in their group. (In case they get lost during the drive).

All drives will leave from the top of Fontana Dam right after lunch (1:30).

(airgate, will you move this post to the DragonBall forum?)

I'd be down for that Lee. I plan to get up there and scope things out and then stay far away from law enforcement...

I know a few of us will be heading out for a 100+ mile drive Saturday morning that does not include the Dragon...

Drove it at WTD07 and it was a great drive... good scenery, switchbacks, lots of curves, etc....

Last time I think we had 15+ people along.....
