The weather is not cooperating at all.

This one is 7 miles south of the Dragon on 129:

It's hard seeing this amazingly beautiful area we all love on fire. Here's hoping they get them contained soon, and that it rains.

Wow, had no idea this was happening. Terrible to see,

I remember last year on our way down we had to turn around because of a wild fire.

The Pigeon Forge and especially Gatlinburg area is on fire, lots of structures lost. Pray for rain, we need it.

Holy Crap, this is an incredible five minute video of a guy trying to drive through or out of an area near Gatlinburg with cabins that is totally on fire.
Saw a piece of this and went to find the full length version. I sure hope all that gorgeous woodlands isn't destroyed next time we go there.
My son lived in LA for 10 years and I rode my bike up in the Verdugo Mountains and Angeles National Forest every time I went out there (where all the dudes with hot supercars go tear up the roads on weekend mornings) and after the huge fires they had out there it was all closed for two years.

Warning for language, they are scared and dropping *F* and *S* a lot, their dog sounds terrified breathing in the background.

I was thinking the same thing, Scoots. That video is really scary. I trust that they got out safely, though.

Edit: Quite a bit of news on All Things Considered on NPR tonight.
