We do the Cades Cove usually every 3rd year or so.... just repaved the road a year or two ago. If you take this look, plan on going 10-15 mph... its a scenic drive, not a "drive"..... seen deer/bear/pileated woodpeckers/turkeys.....

The road up to Klingman's Dome is nice... the hike from the parking lot to the Dome is paved, but a little strenuous.... but not bad.... if it is a clear day, you can see for many miles....

Better check where the landslide is.... I think Klingman's Dome is on one side of it... and Cades Cove is on the other side!

So... no way to do both the same day!
