I received a call from the general manager of Fontana Village today. This was in response to the video I posted on this forum taken in our cabin at WTD.
For those of you who may have missed it here it is.

The lady that called was very concerned about the condition of the cabin and seemed very sincere. She said that she had seen the vid and in fact had taken it to the owners of the village who received it well. They want to make the facility first class and one that we would want to return to year after year.

I was very candid in my description of the problems I encountered outside of the cabin condition.
I said that they knew that approx 300 people would be there long in advance and in spite of advanced notice, they were not prepared for us.
Much of my complaint to her was the general attitude of the people at the front desk.
The long and short of it is that I came away from the conversation with a positive feeling about what actions the owners and management would take to assure quality at the village.

My 2cents in the matter is that if things do not drastically improve as of DBR07, we really need to find a new location (the Airport Hilton). I'm sure other car clubs (the Mini's/BMW's/Porsche's etc) probably feel the exact same way.

I love the eay access to the Dragon from FV, but easy access < than having power/phone/TV/staffed bar & dining room etc.

 

 

I hope they listen to you, Lee. I would like Fontana to be our HQ given it's location. But I will not put up with substandard contitions. Or a bitch at the front desk. I did tell them this when we checked out; so I guess we'll see come September.
