Oh I beg to differ. I ran the whole thing balls out this past weekend, just to check out the new section of road.
What color is your car? Are you the S I mentioned in this thread?

Yeah, that's me.

I live in Knoxville, and I was out giving my victoracers one last heat cycle before I replced them.

I imagine in time one or two of those will switch off 129 and start covering the foothills, especially if there's an accident or reports of, uhh, large groups of vehicles moving at a high rate of speed.
Yeah I know. I was totally expecting the foothills to be crawling with cops & rangers, since the road was recently reopened.

The "bad" thing about the Foothills Pkwy is that it offers some easy opportunities for cops to just stake out if they want. Dragon always seems a little tougher (especially with radio communication between S drivers ). But just running solo on Foothills at mach 1 ain't really the brightest thing to do as the fuzz can just pop out of an overlook, or a side road or two, etc.

I never claimed to be the brightest.

Isn't the foothills a park road? I always figured you'd be up shit creek if you got caught doing 80 on that road... not that that has stopped me.

No different from highways... I thought the fines were much steeper?

Federal Pkwy fines (based on tailofthedragon.com) have jumped from $150 to now a discretionary $500 on the spot if a cop wishes. Or even worse, depending on the demeanor of the driver when the cop is writing the ticket, the cop can force a court appearance...where the judge can fine the driver up to $1500 in fines.

That...my friends...is "steep"!
