For Willie, it was at 7:30am on Sunday.

Mocky, your cabin was at 3:00am on Saturday.

That was the end to a sad tale of tragedy and loss...

Many of you know Speedy (speedworksracing) as the smallish quiet guy who owns a car akin to Darth Vader. Black on Black with carbon fiber. Certainly a very skilled canyon carver and a great wrench, but his achilles heel is something I discovered on this very trip.

He snores. Loudly.

And when I say loud, I mean rafter shaking loud. And it's not your typical rythmic snore either. It starts and stops intermediatly, so for a few key minutes you worry that because of the lack of noise speedy has stopped breathing and died. And just as you are about to check for a pulse, he snarles and shivers and begins to rattle the rafters again. At times I thought an animal had snuck into his bed and it was a battle for his life. Scratching and growls and hissing and spitting and sheet kicking. It sounded like a rabid muskrat had begun the fight for Speedy's life.

So because of the noise, my neighbor in room 203 couldn't sleep either. He turned up the volume of his Television to drown out the sounds of the animal fight. It was infomercials. I heard "Buy today and we'll give you a matching set for FREE!" at ear bleeding volume about 258 times. at 3:45 in the morning.

Needless to say, after days of exhausting driving and nights of drinking, I lay there staring at the ceiling wondering what I did to deserve this torture.

So I spent the night looking at photos of cars on the Dragon. And at 4:47 AM I pulled my head out of the laptop and noticed the sweet sound of silence. And I blissfully closed my eyes and fell into a much deserved slumber.

To be shocked out of bed 2 hours and forty three minutes later, at 7:30 AM. I then packed my bags and led a 12 hour twisty as possible drive back to Florida.

I owe you Chris. Vengeance will be mine.

SC_Highlander taught me a valuable lesson one Dragon event sometime back...a 2:30am trip to Wal-Mart for...

PS. Since then I've found them quite useful with the Mrs. (she snores too!)
