As usual. I spend hours dancing thru the instructions on the Gopro and end up hitting a wall

My head is so sore now, I can't think straight.

Make it simple Gopro so that slow learners like me have a chance

First step: Open GoPro CineForm Studio
Second step: Select the Device Menu
Third: Select Update
Fourth: Make sure you have the latest GoPro update for the camera
Fifth: Once the camera firmware is updated, without the Remote back attached, start the camera
Sixth: Turn on the Remote BackPak and attach it to the camera
Seventh: You should now have a menu that allows you to select the WiFi connection.

This is somewhat truncated, but that's the gist of getting it done.

Ken, I turned your 7 step process into 8 steps. AA style.

Lee, I offered to do it for you at Fontana

Yep, I hadn't gotten to that step in the process this morning and was running on memory. I have it working with my iPhone and iPad both. Full control of all major functions.

The problem I described was anout the Ipad Gopro app that was released after the Fontana GTG. I have the remote working but the I pad app says the backpack is not connected to the camera.
I have the I pad recognized the back pack and I have the connection but the app says the backpack is not on the camera.

Did you go into settings and select the WiFI backpack in the network connection? The iPad has to connect to the backpack and it does it via a network connection. I used it today, and with the exception of the lousy battery life, it worked fine. GoPro has to do something about their battery life, it sucks.
