That was a pretty high speed, not as tight, course they ran.
Do you two watch the whole video?
Yes, I did. There's only so far you can turn the wheel until you arms cross and you cannot turn anymore.

True enough... though I've never needed to overextend the steering at the Dragon You can get the car to rotate more without feeding in more steering Perfect example is John's video.

When I am on The Dragon, I wear my "stunna" shades, I have my seat leaned back, left hand at 12, and my right hand on my woman's thigh. Whuuuutttt?

Hey guys, this video is quite old, and I admit there are some things in it that I do not approve of any longer (mainly passing and having the car come loose on me). The car was on stock suspension with espilir lowering springs and sumitomo HTRZ III tires in 225/255 staggered setup, so not nearly optimal for the road at all. I've left it up simply because it's gotten so many views and threads like this pop up on this forum and other forums from time to time.

Regarding steering technique - I no longer shuffle my hands while on the dragon. It's important to note that this video was shot before I had ever set foot on a track. I didn't start tracking until the January after this video - about a month after Killboy and I filmed the Deal's Gap compilation video that's on vimeo that he showed at the banquet a few years ago.

As far as the rev limiter goes - I'll admit I was being a little lazy that afternoon as I was following that evo. 2nd gear was all that was really needed for that run - stock 4.10 gearing and frankly, I wasn't as experienced a driver as I am now which I will openly admit. I've matured a lot both in my driving decisions, car control, and self restraint. I don't condone this type of driving and no longer drive in this manner while on the road.

The car currently has 117k or 118k miles on it and is mostly a track car. It will likely get a cage soon. It still has the original clutch and original diff, and until recently the original wheel bearings even (which I changed out preventatively). I have not done much to it but slight handling mods, and keep putting numerous tires and brake pads/rotors on it. Other than that, I have changed the fluids regularly, and driven the snot out of it.

I hope that puts a few questions to rest. I love this road, the people that frequent it, and more than anything, those that keep it safe for us to keep enjoying (Killboy & Friends). I commonly tell people it is my mecca. It's where any semblance of fun driving first took place for me and I will never, ever tire of running back and forth for hours on end.

I own a 04 Ap2 that I purchased with 54k on it. I blew the diff at 100k and put. 4.77 in the rear. Before when my rear was stock I would drive most of the dragon in 2nd on the rev limiter. I have lost count how many autoX I have done in the car. I now have 165K on it and took it to a dyno day with other S2ks. I put down 214whp and 147 torque. I have always changed the oil and maintained the car. Point is you can run on the rev limiter all day. My car runs as well as the day I bought it. My car sits at 5-6k in rpms on the highway also. Last track day with 164k on her
