This is not a day for everyone....

Going to head out Rt 28 to Franklin for lunch at Cafe Rel, then continue east to Highlands and walk/shop the little stores they have.

Pace will be 5-10 over (depends on the road), but the curvy parts will be done quick!

* 9:45 meet in front of Wildwood Grill
* leave Fontana at 10:00 (10:00, not 10:05!!!!)
* drive Rt 28 to Franklin
* arrive at Cafe Rel at 10:50 - get gas
* eat lunch at Cafe Rel 11:00-11:45
* drive to Highlands
* shop in Highlands 2 hours
* ice cream in Highlands
* time/traffic permitting, stop at Bridal Veil Falls
* drive back the way we got there (or maybe Wayah Road for the trip home?)

Looks like the total trip time would be around 7 hours if we spend 2 hours in Highlands.

Driving time will be 2:45 hours
Lunch will be 45 minutes
Shopping 2 hours
Misc stops 1 hour

Total 6:30 hours

Would get us back to Fontana 4:30-5:00.

The drive is Friday...... it's in the thread title!

Not a private drive, just that we will be walking around Highlands for a couple/few hours going from one small store to the next. Some people would rather not do that, and want to drive all day. That's why the drive might not be for everyone.
