quick question. will the dragon run be a closed circuit this year? i thought that maybe the roads can be blocked off just for us. let me know because i want to go!

What you are asking sounds cool, but not very practical. The road is used many locals to cross the mountains and any other route would be a substantial detour.

It doesn't have to be closed to have a great time. You should plan to go regardless.

In talking to some Gold wing riders last weekend, apparently the TN and NC authorities shut the road down for Honda Hoot last year. That was 10-15,000 riders, however.

I don't think they'd shut it down for us, and if they did we'd probably have to actually drive slower.

No reason to shut her down. The other cars and bikes are half the Fun. Love the Looks from the other drivers when you hit the turns just shy of the point of no return Just hold your Lane and hope they hold theirs

Don't miss this event, the Dragon is one of the top 10 Twisty roads in the World. No Driveways or cross streets make this road perfect for havin Fun. However there are not too many guard rails so you need to be at your best or just slow down a little
