Default Huskerdog

My dear Bettis, who is known affectionately to many of you as Huskerdog passed away yesterday. He was a veteran of six(!) Dragon runs and many other S2ki events, and though, the long drive from Chicago became to much for him, I was still always asked "how is Huskerdog?" at each event.

He had many friends on S2Ki and his gentle spirit will always be remembered.

Bettis was such a great guy to have around. He protected us from bears and was kind to my cats even when they pitched hissy fits because of his size.

He was the epitome of what people mean when they say Man's or Woman's Best Friend. It was easy to forgive him for drinking most of my "big bottle of wine."

We'll all miss you, pup.

Sorry for your loss. He looks a great deal like my sons Swiss Mountain dog.

The link below is to a TV video of him training his dog team in Portland OR last December.

The loss of a beloved four legged friend is always tough. Judging from those pictures, though, Bettis had a pretty full and lively life.

Thanks for posting the pics...they made me smile.
