Any vets want to fill a 2nd year guy on how the event is altered when it rains while we are down there? What happens with the Cookout? Are all the drives still on? I'm kind of a weather geek and of course I'm stressing over computer models....
Btw, I have never turned on my wipers since I purchased the car.

Fontana accommodates us by moving the Friday evening event into the facility where the Saturday banquet is held, typically.
I've been going for 9 years and have never seen a drive cancelled for the rain.
Check that your wipers still work
Although hanging out on the cabin balcony watching the rain fall also isn't the worst thing in the world... peaceful

Another thing - to any and all attending. The weather is always up in the air this time of year, and I've seen several accidents due to worn out tires.
BE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD TREAD LEFT BEFORE MAKING THE TRIP!!!
I also recommend investing in a quality set of summer tires. If you have cheap tires or all seasons, be aware of their limitations and don't just expect to match the speed of the car in front of you. If he or she has better rubber, it will make a dramatic difference in cornering speeds!

Well said Andy. All drives will go rain or shine, we will of course slow the pace down if needed. I have been on a couple where the pace didn't slow down. Just more white knuckle experience with a couple of the pucker factors here and there. Just stay within your comfort factor if the roads are wet. You know your car and your ability. Brakes and tires should be checked before any drives. If we see anyone running on bald or chords showing we will ask them to not go on the drives. Safety is paramount just ask Florian. He is the Safety Chairman for this year's event.

But I was thinking the same thing. I think my rears should still be ok, but I should probably double check them...
. It's spring, afterall! Can't let it ruin the trip
