Looking for a room...
Anyone have an unused bed or cabin room they're looking to split the cost on?
Please post here or PM me to let me know.
I'll be arriving Wednesday evening, leaving Sunday.

Sorry that I don't have a room. Where are you driving from to get to the dragon? We'll have a group leaving from Charlotte. At the very least you can drive up with us!
Since my spring trip was pretty much a disaster (split header on Thursday at Devil's Triangle, two days at Velocity Motorsports in Powell, TN doing repairs) and then the next month it got MUCH worse (the domino effect continuing from those repairs, broken motor mount, nuked engine/turbo)....I'm considering making the trip again for DFR, likely sans seat-covers (she really isn't interested in 6+ hours down and 6+ hours back).
So, I too would be interested in sharing a room and/or am curious about the camping arraignments down there at Fontana Dam. If anyone has links to where they camp, if there are any facilities (bathrooms), cost, etc. I haven't camped in YEARS (decades?) but do have all the gear and could possibly do that to make it a cheap run. I assume everyone who camps goes to: http://www.fontanavillage.com/the-campground/
I gotta say, $15-$20 a night for a tent spot is nice and cheap but half of a $100 room would be much better for my old body. LMK if you are renting room/cabin with extra space.
Post or PM, thanks, Stuart (55 yo, married, hetero, intellectually curious and info-sponge/spouting, opinionated but easy to get along with "salesman").
