Default Made It Home - RtD 2025

Just got home fellas. Darcy, Curt, Emil, Leslie and I left Fontana at 7:45 am. Leslie and I took moonshiner all the way to Cornelia and split off as she headed to Orlando and I to Atlanta. Amazing and completely empty road and we enjoyed the cool temps top down. The other 3 made a run through Devils Triangle and then likely headed towards home. It was great to see the enthusiasm and variety of cars and I hope to see everyone again for the next event!

I walked in the house at 6:00pm. We drove past London, KY and could see some of the destruction from the tornados. There was a lot of debris on the side of the rode. Those poor people!

Made it back to Central Ohio at 7:45. Had nothing but bumper to bumper traffic from London, KY to Columbus.

Thanks to all who desired to be present at the wedding proposal under Bridal Veil Falls.

The camaraderie with the younger OKI group was such a great experience.

We got back about 3:00 to Batavia..... got back in time to rescue the dog from the kennel...

Had a good drive back with Scooter..... and traffic wasn't bad for us on I-75.... few slowdowns.....

Thanks Adnan, for making the first couple hours of the trip home way more fun! Moonshiner was a blast. The rest of the drive was uneventful, didn’t even have a detour this time, and I made it home at 6pm.

JVF1 and I got home 10 pm after a great rip thru the Devil's Triangle with Emil. We used the bypass at Cincinnati as there was a truck ton of traffic along I75. Also, I feel very much for those people who were impacted by the tornadoes that ripped thru Kentucky. Never have I seen such destruction- a trailer park along the I75 looked to have been strewn across the highway, along the median, and into the distance hills.

In addition, we experienced wonderful hospitality from all the areas we visited- from restaurants to gas stations to the Fontana staff- not once did we feel unwelcome.

Curt and I discovered a new road- I think I'll call it the Nada Tunnel Crazy Kentucky Coal Route. I'll post it up later for others to experience.

Thank you for organizing the event!

Interested. We may have used it for our annual October OKI Natural Bridge Run and for the 2022 S2KDays.

It was great to see you two!
