smccoy and Ron home safe after a great breakfast at the Gap with friends, a late lunch at Nantahala Outdoor Center and beautiful drive home with Jamie. Thank you SO much Ken and crew for all your hard work. It was one of the best events yet. After all, "It's all about the people!"

 

We went around it. My Google navigation beeped at me and turned red and gave me a detour. Don't know how much time it saved us but it was better than working the clutch for 45 minutes.

Aaron, TC and I had a nice drive up 75. Got home at about 5:30, washed the car, and I'm eating dinner now.

Arrived home safely; 657 miles in 10 hours 40 minutes. Averaged 62mph to New Orleans.

Pulled in the driveway at 6:45P after sitting in a traffic backup going into Cincy (about 1/2 hour) and backed up traffic due to an accident north of Columbus (another 1/2 hour).

Thank you to the organisers and the drive leaders. Without you we would have spent the entire weekend just sitting on the porch looking at each other!
