Mike and Sharon,
I only got to meet you both very briefly this weekend as you both were quite occupied Friday afternoon, however, you all have a reputation around here as staying this way by using so much of your own time to help keep us all in line and organized. You are an asset to our community and as such, I feel terrible for your loss.

She must have been a truly amazing person to raise someone with the great reputation you have around here.

Wow, I was going to introduce myself to Mike when we were all scratching our heads working on Skip's car, but I decided to wait until we were done. Then things got busy, and I didn't get that chance. I figured I had the time over the weekend. So we have never been introduced, or had the chance to really say hi. But I feel as if I know you both well, because of this community, and their respect and love for you both. I also realize every moment is precious, and I will not waste another chance to say hi to someone I would like to meet.

You, and your family are in our prayers, and we hope that the celebration of your mom's life is joyous, and proper. I think the best that we can do for those that have parted is to celebrate the things they loved, and how they celebrated life themselves. Tell great stories about her, and make sure those memories never die.

First...thank you Skip for taking this time to make us aware of Mike and Sharon's loss. It is most appreciated!

I can't say just how much it meant to see Mike and Sharon at Tapoco as I veered around the corner of my lodge room Friday morning. At that time, they expressed in passing conversation that Mike's mom had not been doing well of late, but that as she'd assured them she was feeling okay...they should go and enjoy the weekend. In like mind, I imagined that was that and was grateful to have them joining us for the weekend's experience.

...so sad to hear this news. Mike...in that same breath, however, I must say that a loved one's passing (especially a loved one suffering so with cancer) cannot help but be looked upon with a sense of comfort. Carolyn is at peace. There is no pain now for her. And she *IS* still with you. And one day, at its own and appropriate time, you will be with her once again.

God Bless you Mike, and Sharon, and your children, and all those who's lives have undoubtedly been touched by your mom's love. And God bless Carolyn for having raised such a wonderful son. I know she looks on you with pride and love.

Take care

Dave
