Actually the scene from The Fugitive was filmed at the dam just below the NC side of the Dragon on 129, near Tapoco Lodge. It's even called "Fugitive Bridge" on many maps and tourist landmarks now. Very cool!

You know what Sheila.. I didn't know that til I read this thread. HAD I known that.................................... I wouldn't have flown by it 6 times at WOT! I should have gotten some pix, but Jeez that road is fun (except for the bad bad pavement)!
