My History
My sons and I were running the dragon in our Mazdas during the Wake the Dragon event in April 2005. I called my boys on the radio when I saw some pass and told them we should run with the Hondas and when they stop, we can check out the rides. Our attempts to stay with the S2000s failed miserably. We did find some parked at the gravel pit and checked them out. That’s when I made to call and decided to go shopping.
After buying my new 05 Suzuka, I started meeting other owners on the forums. Little did I know at the time that becoming associated with a group of car nuts would lead to a wonderful connection and relationship with many fine people.
The fact that I am of advanced years( turning 75 in July) seems to make no difference to the great people I know in the group. Hell, I’m old enough to be the grandfather of some of you but in spite of that, I am treated as an equal and that gives me a warm feeling. Linda and I look forward to many years ansd part of this fraternity.
Thanks again friends.

Lee, I agree that the S2000 has been a wonderful catalyst for making new found friends. I bought my NFR a year ago and attended the WTD and DBR this year. In those two weeks I learned more about the S2000’s potential from driving and talking to other enthusiasts than I could in a decade of driving roads in Louisiana. I remember shooting the breeze with you and a couple other folks at the recent DBR. You recounted a past story of a young fella’ asking you if he could pull ahead of you at the Monster Roll Out because the young fella’ wanted to stay up with his buddy. You graciously allowed him in front of you. Linda then said, “Lee don’t do it.” You of course couldn’t resist and that young fella’ had your front bumper “H” logo planted inches from his rear bumper through the Dragon. Wonderful stories. Wonderful camaraderie.
