This past weekend I was up there for another meet. The NCDOT has started clearing NC28 from the four lane section to the intersection of NC28 and NC 143 and the then NC143 east over the mountain heading into Robbinsville. The double fines in work zone signs are up so be careful with your speed in that area. We had a couple of Swain County LEO following us through the work zone. Also there are pilot cars working during the day. Looks like the NCDOT are going to widening that section of roadway now. This has been a PSA from the BD.
