Seriously, in the day ('50s) 4 roses was plonk, and what my parents served to guest who knew no better.
Looks as if they have made some strides since then. In those days, I think it was aged at least 3 weeks.

From NC ABC.... I had sent them an email asking about issues with our bourbon tasting....

It depends on where you are having the tastings. One may bring up to 4 liters of spirituous liquor into NC legally. You cannot however purchase it on-line and have it shipped to you.

I have emailed them back stating...

The tastings would be on the ballfield, or at the firepit at Fontana Village resort in NC. We make sure anyone who participates is over 21 (we pass out wrist bands after checking ID's)....
Each person might bring one 750ml bottle to share with friends, who might not have had the opportunity to try their favorite bourbon.
The bourbon would be transported to Fontana Village in their cars, in the trunk.
This is not a night to get drunk... just friends sharing their favorite beverage with friends.
Please let me know if this would be a problem.
