Thumbs down Official Wake The Dragon 07 Group Drives

Dragonslayers!

Last year after DBR6, we asked what you guys would like to have in addition at the event. Many of you requested group drives in the area to see the sights of the surrounding Great Smokey Mountains. Well, we took your considerations to heart and are happy to announce that we ARE setting up group drives for registered members this year!

In the next few days we will post all of our group drives which vary from short 1hr drives to drives lasting nearly 3hrs. There is a group drive for everyone's taste. THESE DRIVES ARE NOT "SPIRITED RUNS" AS ON THE DRAGON. The reason for this is pretty clear, we want NO ONE getting in trouble with the NC law enforcers. The purpose of this thread is to inform everyone of what is coming and what to do.

Each Group Drive Leader will post their group drive in the WTD/DBR forum. It will include trip distance, time, map, and discription of the route. Each person interested in taking a group drive WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER for the drive. Each drive will have a limited number of cars and will be on a first come/first serve basis. Each group leader will have a designated assistant who will help with coordination.

Your Group Drive Leader will provide all information for the drives, so keep your eyes peeled over the next few days! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here!

I have been to the highlands 3 times now and its a awsome drive for someone who wants to spend the day driving great roads. I plan on getting up there a day or 2 early as it is only 4 hours or so from me. The town is awsome and the road upto the highlands is a great drive. Let me know if anyone or we can get a group together. Also if anyone is coming early a friday day drive out there would be awsome.
