Default Our post-DBR Blue Ridge Parkway Run

This turned out so well we should make this an optional add on in the future.

Basically Josh (BlueIon), Jason (MulderATO). and I (David) Left Alcoa on Sunday and went to Cherokee to pick up the beginning of the parkway and ran it to Blowing Rock where we spent the night. It was a great time.

It was an amazing drive. The speed limit on the vast majority of the parkway is 45 MPH. Due to many very twisty sections and the complete lack of any banking in 99% of the turns, a 50-55 MPH run seems like a very "spirited" drive. We would take off when the road was open and we felt like it, but other times we would just cruise. You don't mind going slow on a road like that, at least not for just a little bit. Traffic wasn't all that bad at all and would always let us by eventually.

We stayed at the Inn at Yonahlossee. Very nice place to stay. I think they have 8 rooms total and they are very nice. I know we payed right around 130 per room and they served breakfast until 11am. I know I stuffed my face. It was a good way to unwind after the weekend and get more seat time on amazing roads.

No one has ever acused me of that but thank you very much. I think they came out pretty well. I am not really much of a photographer and my $99 2MP digi cam normally doesn't take the best pictures, but it looks like my camera and I managed to click this weekend because I think I pulled off some pretty good shots. Josh got some sweet ones too. He should post up anytime now...
