Folks, I won't go into the details of why we aren't welcome at Tapoco (no, it has nothing to with pigmy bears)...and I know you're craving the WHY behind it all...in due time.

Please note that the Event HQ is no longer Tapoco Lodge and we are now headquartered in Fontana Village Resort.

You may be thinking, "hey, why didn't we go with that from the beginning?" And I have a few tidbits about that:

Smart Cars on the Dragon will be there the same weekend as DBRXI...and they had a big block of rooms at Fontana. In addition to that, another large group is also booked and that didn't give us space for a banquet or lodging...HOWEVER, with some cancelations from those groups, it's allowed us JUST enough space to fit in. We are really lucky and fortunate that Fontana could accomodate us.

Please understand that it was NOT the decision of your DBRXI event team. In the end, the ownership/management of Tapoco Lodge made it clear our group was not welcome. And yes, 7 whole days before the event.

I want to remind folks that we have a great reputation in the area...so please keep that in mind and let's stay above board...no sense in lowering yourself or our image. Let's enjoy the Dragon and the camaraderie...make memories and have a BLAST! Can't wait to see everyone soon!
