Thumbs down Please Read... From a "Dragon" Local

Hey there S2k owners...
I'm a Gap local and just wanted to drop by and thank you guys for
always driving so safely, I've really never had a problem with any
of you!

I ride a sportbike and drive a miata at the gap weekly (minimum)
and I just wanted to stop in and ask you all to please, please
keep it in your lanes... The LEO's have been cracking down on lane
crossing as of late and I thought I'd give you all the heads up.
(Not to mention the safety factor!)

Stay safe you guys, I'll be on the hill Friday all day, riding a
green Kawasaki ZX6R with green/black leathers... Hope to meet
some of you!

-Eric

No worries Eric. That's rule number one at out meets and it's mentioned more than a few times before our drives.

Any idea how enforcement was this weekend, considering the fatality last weekend?

Not really sure, the LEO's are up there EVERY weekend, drive first thing in the morning (until 10AM) and sometime after 5:00PM.

Also look at driving HWY 28 the left across from the CROT

The time of day you make the run makes all the difference in LEO presence. I'm another Dragon regular that likes to get there about 8:00 am. Most times I have the road to myself. However, this past Saturday I didnt get to the Gap until a little after noon and passed a Blount Co, cruiser going the opposite direction. The same cruiser that paced me all the way to the Murphy County line on the way out. Granted, an SRT-4 begs for a police "escort" but I really was behaving myself. I guess the best thing to do is plan for the presence and hope they have something better to do that day.

I have traded a couple PM w/some of the S2KI faithful over the past couple years and hope to put a face w/a screen name sometime soon.

Travel safe,

Don

Wasn't the NCHP cracking down on speeding on 28?
