Pre-Event Extended Drive
I have tried to come up with a catchy name for this drive but lets just say, it is the LONG way to Fontana. A few more cars are welcome to come along.
It is possible to join us Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings but we will be leaving from a different hotel/town each day.
The plan is to take a 2 hr direct drive from town to town and turn it into a 6 hr backroads adventure. Add to that time for gas, meals and sight seeing at several points each day. They will be full days but still time for some relaxation and visiting.
Departure times are approximate since we are on holidays. If you plan on joining in unannounced, you better show up early in case we leave early. Departure is unlikely to be before 9AM but you never know. Hotel parking lots will be the meet up area

Wednesday April 9 Comfort Inn - 206 Michelle DR , Hendersonville NC, 828-693-8800
Thursday April 10 Econo Lodge - 101 Edelweiss Strasse, helen GA, 706-878-8000
Each day will end at the next days departure hotel with Thursday ending at Fontana Village for the RTD 2014 kickoff.
I have included the hotel contact info so you can book your own rooms, No special rates but I choose hotels under $60.
Remember you need the hotel the day before the departure date.
