Default Rockslide!

Wow...Looks like I-40 may be closed for months to clean up a big rock slide that happened early Sunday morning. The DOT is recommending truckers use I-26/I-81 to get around it.

Here's hoping they listen and NOT try to come through Deal's Gap. Yikes!

I was coming back from Scarowinds (Carowinds) and missed being in the slide by about 10 minutes. Had to turn around and take the long way home.

Guess when we head to Charlotte to see my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter... well come down I-77 instead!

That looks like that will be throwing a monkey wrench in traveling!!!

Mike, I would think that you would be happy to take a few mountain road detours.

If we had the time.... I wouldn't get on the expressway!

Tons of nice roads all the way there!

But I don't want to turn a 8 hour drive into a 14 hour drive...
