I wanted to let everyone know that I am continuously monitoring the effect that Covid-19 is having on all of us. At this time, there is no plan to cancel the event. I'm talking to the management at Fontana and, like everybody else trying to decide what to do. I will keep you informed and if there are any changes, I will let you know as soon as I find out. Naturally, if RtD2020 is canceled, registration fees will be returned.

Not much we can do but wait and see how things play out.

 

The border is closed to tourism beginning tonight- Friday, March 20- first day of spring. Only essential travel is allowed...I don't know if us Canadians would be able to convince the US border patrol that RTD is "essential" travel.

Just keep your fingers crossed that it ends in 30 to 45 days.

 

My post is a little pessimistic, I want this event to happen but I'm starting to have my doubts. If it's doesn't happen hopefully Fontana will also issue a refund, or at least a credit to be used at a later date.

 

On another event that was cancelled Fontana and they did offer a credit for any reservations already made. That event was rescheduled for August at Fontana. Stay safe people.

 

A FYI for all. I'm checking with Fontana to see if there's another date available. I'll know more on Monday and as soon as I find out what's happening, I'll post it here.

 

Graham County will close the Skyway to traffic on March 27th and the close US129 and CR28 to non-residents traffic. Police will be asking for proof of residency.

Skyway has many places to stop and enjoy the view. Anything an infected person touches can infect others.
