It's been tried. The issue is that the rake of the car is toward the front, so if it does precipitate at anytime that you might be using the tonneau cover, it will tend to puddle on the top of the dash.

I had one on my TR3 and it was great in cold weather. i could zip up the passenger side and run the heater(when it worked) and it was comfortable.

Of course one reason the cover was so useful was because the top was all manual with a lot of snaps and a lot of labor to put on and take off..

There is a review of the CR in the latest issue of Car and Driver. I think after the review I preferr my standard convertible better. Just seems more usable(a word that I never thought I use for the S2k). I wish honda gave teh CR mor HP and less weight.
