Thumbs down Story on the Dragon coming on NOW!

I was flipping through the channels this morning and Good Morning America on
ABC is going to do some kind of story on a motorcycle ride through the Dragon.

Thought some might be interested in seeing this.

I saw that.
Too bad it was all about cruisers. Also it sent a wrong message when they showed a crotch rocket pilot passing on the dragon.

It did bring back some great memories however.

Agreed. Most great getaways are victims of their own popularity.

Yippers....

Look at most of the better places to vacation/visit along the east coast...

Once people started hearing how great they were..... well.. then they got too busy... rates went thru the roof...etc....

Saw this segment; it featured a few Indian cruisers leaving from Blue Waters Lodge and their trip through the Dragon. At least the anchor acknowledged the road was too much for an inexperienced rider, and they did show the Tree of Shame. Sadly, none of the businesses were featured or promoted, which bites.

Here's the post from Deals Gap blog on Sunday:

"Well, lets start the day with the disappointment known as Good Morning America. They did a piece on The Dragon this am, and of course they called it "The Tail". How sad is it that even a reporting agency does not fact check what they put on TV ?? Either way, it was a lame piece on an amazing area. Thanks for nothing GMA."
