Let's see, It's as safe as the nut behind the wheel. Being a passenger with a good driver usually means "stop the car, I have to throw up"

Great trip, lots of scenery and fun to drive roads. Just don't ask me to ride along. Your results may vary.

Just go with the old S2000 owners. They don't go fast at all. Right Mike

Last year was my first event, I was sorry to hear that 3 S2000 owners returned home without their vehicles in one piece. Sometimes accidents happen that are beyond your control, but I think 2 of the incidents were simply speed related, one was caused by an animal crossing the road and the driver over-reacted. I think crashes tend to happen every year, once you drive the road you can understand how most of them happen. In all of my driving at last year's event I got one tire off the road accidentally, the car got a bit squirrely , but it is easy to happen.

Extra life insurance ?, that is a personal decision everyone needs to make I guess.

Take a ride with one of the seasoned drivers first. Next run the dragon at a speed you feel comfortable with. Leave your ego at home. That will be one of the first things to do. We are all there to enjoy ourselves and no one will judge you on your driving. If you feel like you are getting outside your comfort zone, you will most likely have a bad day.
Good sticky tires are a must.
Looking forward to seeing you and your nervous wife.

Yes FulKy15 will never ride with me again. Two reasons why. First he sold the S2000 and second this father-in-law in Tennessee is looking for him those days. I'll bet he never come back South again.
